Colombia and Brazil Head to the Final of the 2025 Women's Copa América!

The 2025 Women’s Copa América in Quito, Ecuador, determined its finalists in the semifinals held on July 28 and 29 at the Estadio Rodrigo Paz Delgado:

Argentina vs. Colombia (July 28): A 0-0 draw. Colombia advanced to the final after winning 5-4 in penalties. Argentina will play for third place.

Brazil vs. Uruguay (July 29): Brazil crushed Uruguay 5-1 with goals from Amanda Gutierres (10’, 65’), Giovana Queiroz (12’), Marta (27’, penalty), and Dudinha (86’). Uruguay scored via an own goal by Isa Haas (51’). Brazil will face Colombia in the final, while Uruguay plays Argentina for third place.

The finalists secured spots for the 2028 Olympic Games. Paraguay defeated Chile 1-0 for fifth place, earning a spot in the 2027 Pan American Games. The final is on August 2 at 4:00 PM (GMT-5), and the third-place match is on August 1 at 7:00 PM, streamed on the Copa América YouTube channel.
