The 2025–26 NBA regular season will tip off on October 21, 2025, with a star-studded doubleheader on Opening Night. The first matchup will feature the Houston Rockets taking on the Oklahoma City Thunder, followed by a marquee clash between the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers. This season also marks the league’s return to NBC broadcasts, alongside coverage on Peacock, ESPN, and ABC.
The NBA’s traditional five-game Christmas Day slate will showcase some of the league’s brightest stars across a full day of action (Eastern Time, US):
12:00 p.m. – Cleveland Cavaliers vs New York Knicks
2:30 p.m. – San Antonio Spurs vs Oklahoma City Thunder
5:00 p.m. – Dallas Mavericks vs Golden State Warriors
8:00 p.m. – Houston Rockets vs Los Angeles Lakers
